The Water Witch by PheonixKarr The Water Witch by PheonixKarr
Watercolor Illustration. Done in a "classic fantasy illustration" style for class. From my Novel, Woodwaste.

- The water witch is a gruesome being that the novel's protagonists encounter as they search for the Madman Hadric. A manifestation of the swamp, the "witch" is merely a puppet, a corpse bobbing out of the surface of the waters like a grotesque doll. She follows the protagonists for days, ever on the edge of the water, beckoning them to come to see her collection of drowned travelers below the water's edge.

Ooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh this sounds so amazing!
Her design is perfect! Creepy yet bewitching. Also, I like how she -at least to me- resembles a geisha.
Which reminds me of one the Japanese "folklore" ghosts, Yama-uba.
Very cool. :D

She was definitely based on those folklore ghosts! Good catch :) Thank you!

This is a very nice illustration! Looks like it fits the style really well!

The story sounds quite spooky :)
